Dr. Kelly Kazik holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Flute from the University of Maryland, College-Park where she studied under Dr. William Montgomery. Dr. Kazik specializes in pedagogy, the flute works of Rivier, Bozza, and Francaix, and early music.

From 2000-2002, Dr. Kazik served as Professor of Flute and Music Theory at Ouachita Baptist University. She has performed with diverse groups such as Fort Worth Early Music, the Texas Wind Symphony, and The East Texas Symphony, and was a featured soloist with Les Petit Violons. She has earned prizes in the National Federation of Music Clubs Soloist Competition, The American Recorder Society Scholarship Competition, and The NFA Convention Performers Competition.

Dr. Kazik currently serves as Artistic Director for the period instrument ensemble, Washington's Camerata, and lectures around the country on The Pastoral Lyricism of Eugene Bozza.
